The benefits of adding walking to your fitness routine.
Nelson Remedy’s is a strong advocate of healthy living, and always working to help our clients meet and exceed their health goals; as part of that mission, we’ve launched the Remedy’s Walking Club!
Just 30 minutes of walking every day can increase cardiovascular fitness, strengthen bones, reduce excess body fat, and boost muscle power and endurance.
Science shows that placing one foot in front of the other leads to some seriously impressive mental and physical benefits.
And unlike some other forms of exercise, walking is free and doesn’t require any special equipment or training.
Walking together as a group is not only good exercise, but it’s also a great way to socialize, meet new people and get some fresh air.
Our store manager Brooke is a holistic health coach and personal trainer and passionate about helping people .
Brooke leads the group on a fun, active walk through Nelson. We begin at Remedy’s and walk for about an hour, ending up back at the pharmacy.
We’re also tying the Walking Club in with our newly launched Rewards Program so every time you exercise you’ll receive Reward points you can use on things like supplements and other health-boosting products we carry in the store
The club begins July 2nd at 8am. We’ll be posting a calendar soon with the full schedule
